Weasel Zippers: Even the AP can’t spin Obama’s way out of this web of lies.
The Lonely Conservative: It didn’t take long after President Obama’s jobs speech – you know, the one where he called for spending another $450 billion – for the AP to check his facts. Obama said the spending would be paid for, but he didn’t say how it would be paid for. Well, that’s because it won’t be paid for.
Once again Obama is leading from behind expecting the newly created super committee to find ways to pay for more of the same big spending he’s done since taking office. This man is breathtakingly a coward never wanting to stick his own neck on the line, but wanting to take credit for everything. Even his signature piece of legislation, ObamaCare, was written by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Does this guy ever do anything for himself besides play golf?

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's promise Thursday that everything in his jobs plan will be paid for rests on highly iffy propositions.
It will only be paid for if a committee he can't control does his bidding, if Congress puts that into law and if leaders in the future - the ones who will feel the fiscal pinch of his proposals - don't roll it back.
Underscoring the gravity of the nation's high employment rate, Obama chose a joint session of Congress, normally reserved for a State of the Union speech, to lay out his proposals. But if the moment was extraordinary, the plan he presented was conventional Washington rhetoric in one respect: It employs sleight-of-hand accounting.
A look at some of Obama's claims and how they compare with the facts:
OBAMA: "Everything in this bill will be paid for. Everything."
THE FACTS: Obama did not spell out exactly how he would pay for the measures contained in his nearly $450 billion American Jobs Act but said he would send his proposed specifics in a week to the new congressional supercommittee charged with finding budget savings. White House aides suggested that new deficit spending in the near term to try to promote job creation would be paid for in the future - the "out years," in legislative jargon - but they did not specify what would be cut or what revenues they would use.

I listen to a good part of the speech and I think it’s safe to say that Obama said nothing new. It’s was the same speech he’s been giving for the past year: big government spending, class warfare, and a total ignorance on how a private business works.
For example offering a tax credit to businesses that hire additional workers is pretty dumb. A business exists to make a profit, not to collect a tax credit. What determines the decision to hire is the amount of revenue that business generates. If hiring more workers helps the business generate more revenue, then that’s the basis upon which that decision is made. However, in an economic downturn like we have under this idiot president, workers are cut to maintain profitability. That’s the way it works in the real world and this community organizer we have as president doesn’t get it.
