Obama’s Watergate? New Fast and Furious details indicate gov’t cover-up, White House involvement, US News, News , news story

The mainstream media is leaving this scandal totally alone because their protecting their boy, President Obama. The last thing Obama needs to add to his miserable and inept presidency is a revelation of a “Watergate” style cover-up on his watch.

Daily Caller

The heated Congressional investigation into the botched Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives program Operation Fast and Furious reached a whole new level on Friday.

New emails obtained by the Los Angeles Times appear to show senior Obama administration and White House officials were briefed on the gun-walking operation. The three White House officials implicated by the LA Times’ reporting are Kevin M. O’Reilly, the director of North American Affairs for the White House national security staff; Dan Restrepo, the president’s senior Latin American advisor; and Greg Gatjanis, a White House national security official.

The emails were sent between July 2010 and February 2011, before the scandalous ATF program was exposed, according the LA Times.

The LA Times says a senior administration official denies that the emails which lead Fast and Furious ATF agent William Newell sent to O’Reilly — who later briefed Restrepo and Gatjanis –included details on “investigative tactics” used in the program. By “investigative tactics,” the White House means how ATF agents facilitated the sale of firearms to drug cartels via “straw purchasers,” or people who could legally buy guns in the U.S. but did so with the intention of selling them to individuals who would traffic them to Mexico.

Those emails apparently show Newell and O’Reilly discussing how the program was affecting Mexico.

Another explosive new detail that emerged on Thursday was a set of documents showing senior officials in Phoenix attempting to cover up a connection between Fast and Furious weapons and U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry’s death.

Porn industry work stoppage over after actor re-tested negative for HIV, US News, News , news story

I wonder if SEIU covers the porn industry. Then porn actors would be screwed coming and gong.

The Huffington Post

An adult film performer who tested positive for HIV and caused the porn industry to shut down production as a precaution has been retested and the actor does not have the virus, a porn industry trade group said Saturday.

Production can now resume, said Free Speech Coalition executive director Diane Duke.

"The industry will be abundantly cautious as we try to nail down the reasons for what now appears to have been a false positive result on a previous test," Duke said.

The actor, who was in Florida, had been slated to work on a shoot for Mofos.com, but production was halted last week when the test came back positive for HIV.

Over 50,000 attend party the weekend away at Burning Man 2011 Black Rock Desert Nevada, US News, News , news stroy

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this event. But, then again, I’m not the artsy type. Maybe I’ll go next year and burn an effigy of Barack Obama.

How do you think that will go over with that crowd?

Daily Mail

It's the hottest ticket in town... a Burning Man festival in the heart of the North Nevada desert.

Today a 120ft tall effigy - which covers more than 45,000 square feet - will be torched as a crowd of more than 50,000 people watch at the annual counterculture event.

The structure, called the Temple of Transition, is the tallest installation art structure ever built at the site. It has a hexagonal central tower which is surrounded by five 58-foot tiered, hexagonal towers. Inside, participants meditate, chant or write notes to loved ones, often in honour of friends who have died.

The spectacular finale will come today after a 40ft signature effigy was burnt last night at the annual celebration of radical self expression. Crowds of more than 50,000 have flocked to the event which has been more popular this year than ever.

Among other attractions, the anything-goes festival also offers topless bike parades, yachts on wheels strolling the desert floor, geodesic domes that house dance clubs, the Party Naked bar, a 22-ton Trojan horse, Irish pubs, a giant teeter-totter, weddings and a French Quarter-themed camp.

Ticket sales soared this year - with 53,341 attending the event on Friday - which was up nine per cent on a year ago as the event sold out for the first time in its 25-year history. Last year's event attracted more than 51,000 people to the remote Black Rock Desert about 120 miles northeast of Reno.

Colorado mother Imene Nouis leaves her child in 135 F heat car while going to At the Beach tanning salon, US News, News , news stroy

Is this why there’s a special tax for people who use tanning salons in ObamaCare?

Seriously, this another pathetic example of how some people don’t derserve to be parents. These types of stories are becoming as commonplace as teachers sleeping with underage students.

Daily Mail

A Colorado mother has defended herself after she was charged with child abuse for leaving her toddler in a 135F while she went to a tanning salon. Imene Nouis, 31, said it was 'just a misjudgment' after police found the child left inside the hot car in Parker.

'It's like anybody that drinks and drives and ends up hurting, injuring, or killing somebody. Are they bad people? No. Will they be blamed for it? Yes,' Nouis told

'As a human, tell me one person that hasn't made a mistake,' she added. 'Thank God it wasn't a detrimental mistake.'

Police were called on Thursday at around 1:15pm to the tanning salon after someone reported seeing the child left alone in the hot vehicle. Officers removed the child from the car and then had to get a salon employee to get the mother out of a tanning bed to speak to her. The windows were rolled up.' Nouis had been in the tanning bed for 12 minutes when she was removed.

I think this poor excuse for a mother deserves to be in jail for at least 3 months to learn a lesson.

Iowa Caucus: Iowa GOP: Perry heads the field, US News, News , Politics

Texas Gov Rick Perry has wrestled away “fromt runner” status from Mitt Romney, and I’m not sure Mitt will get it back.

However, look for the MSM to talk up Romney as the better choice since their scared shitless of Perry. If Perry gets the nod, it won’t be a question of beating Obama in 2012, but how big the landslide for Perry.

Rasmussen

Confirming a surge seen in polling across the nation, Texas Governor Rick Perry has moved into first place among Republican voters in Iowa, host state to the first-in-the-nation caucus early next year.

A Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of those likely to participate in the Iowa GOP Caucus shows that Perry is the first choice for 29%. Essentially tied for second are Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann at 18% and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney at 17%. Texas Congressman Ron Paul picks up 14% of the vote, and nobody else currently reaches the five percent (5%) mark. (To see survey question wording.

A month ago, before Perry officially entered the race, Bachmann and Romney were essentially tied for the lead with Perry in fourth place.

The new Iowa results are consistent with national polling which also shows Perry on top. Perry leads President Obama by three in an early look at a possible general election matchup. Other top Republican contenders are close. The president trails a generic Republican by eight.
