Where are the protective barriers around the WTC memorial waterfalls/pools to prevent somebody from jumping in and commit suicide?, US News, News , opinion


I’m sorry to be a sour puss here, but from what I’ve seen, it doesn’t like very hard for some distraught family member or any other mentally unbalanced individual to climb up on the edge and fling themselves into the waterfall.

Shouldn’t there be some sort of transparent barrier high enough to make it very difficult to commit suicide? I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but it was the first thing I thought when I saw these structures.



I hope it never happens but it looks like something is missing from the design.
