Rush Limbaugh famously said shortly after Barack Obama was elected president, “I hope he fails!”
Nearly 3 years later, Barack Hussein Obama’s approval rating stands at 38% and sinking fast. However, the reason he’s become so unpopular with the American people is because Obama and the Democrats were successful in passing their agenda when they controlled both houses of Congress.
They successfully took over the American car industry.
They successfully took over the college loans industry.
They successfully passed a trillion dollar stimulus bill and gave the money to their union friends and “green” start up business like Solyndra. (See the bankruptcy list for the latest info)
But, the biggest achievement of them all was the taking over 1/6th of the American economy with the passage of ObamaCare that’s a stepping stone to socialized healthcare for the first time in American history. This is a record of legislative success any way you slice it. Obama was a winner, he didn’t fail.
So why is Obama so unpopular if he was able to do everything he wanted? He’s unpopular because the United States is and always will be a center-right country and his policies are an anathema to the American people.
Further, Democrats are running away from Obama like rats on a sinking ship. So in the end, Rush didn’t get what he wanted. Obama didn’t fail and it’s killing his presidency as a result.
